Good stuff

Things I’m glad I bought, did or saw.

Canon Powershot G9 – a great travel camera that’s about the closest you can get to a fully-featured SLR but that will still fit in your pocket. Thanks to Jag for pointing me towards this one.

Asus eee 901 linux laptop – simply the best travel laptop ever made. Tiny, lightweight but still with enough power – oh and a six hour (yes, 6 hour) battery.

North face Backtrack 50 Litre backpack – very glad I splashed out a bit extra on this one – almost perfect size and very sturdy plus the straps all zip away for air travel so you don’t have to faff around at the oversize luggage counter. Only issue is that the daypack it comes with is too small so it went home in the post.

Autan insect repellent – I was not once bitten when I was wearing this stuff, even in Cambodia, and it’s got none of the nasty side-effects of DEET-based products (like melting your clothes, for example).

Other sites you should visit:

Stuart’s blog – all you never wanted to know about watching football in every corner of Europe (he linked here, so I’m returning the favour).

Alex & Tania’s blog – now that my journey is coming to an end, theirs is just beginning…
